Orchestral cello parts good?
Our school orchestra goes on tour next year, and the driver has called suggestions of things We like to play. I was wondering if anyone knows of some things with the cello parts good, be great, not just a boring bass lines for the entire tour. He said he wanted "popular music". I was thinking in 1812 Overture / unfinished symphony, any other suggestions? Thanks!
the most difficult to answer this question we have no idea what level the band plays on …. Dvorak 7 has some great lines and divisi cello amid then if you Brandenburg 3 chains strong enough is fun (bass lines and melody lines) … 1812 the cello part after the intro is very difficult … that can be faked well, but to play properly is a lot of work
