Walking Bass Guitar Books?
I play bass in the orchestra and jazz band, and I have to learn to play a walking bass line (for the jazz band) who going to get a book, but also online sites can be useful too. I do not know if this means anything, but my music is slightly above letters bars bars as the G7 or something important like that. I greatly appreciate any input you have. Thanks
The symbols you see above or on the staff, ie are chord symbols: Cmaj7, D-7 (d 7 under) G7 (G7 dominant). At this point, it seems that you need to find a professor of theory, but check to "Chords and Progressions" by Bugs Bower-pub by Chas. Colin. Also check out all the books of Rufus Reid, Ray Brown, Eddie Gomez, or talk to Dave Santoro in The Hartford (Ct.) Academy of the Arts .. maybe online???
