What is the most effective and quickest way to improve on the guitar and play "cool songs" pleasing to the ear?
A little History: So I'm a beginner guitar – I can not play chords OK, he can sing sometimes when I play simple songs with decent pace, and I still hate bar chords, but I'm getting down OK. One problem though … The practice actually feels like a chore at times (the hardest part is getting my guitar out, once I start not so bad) but I would really like to see me playing well and get better faster. I feel like there must be some advice for Hence, "make a difference" in my progress. I bought a Fender instructional DVD for acoustic and helped, I learned some interesting things, but I think after a while it will grow old … Any teachers and experts out there with good advice for someone looking to improve on the guitar and developed a passion by the instrument?
Well, some ideas – Have you had any professional training? Book a few lessons with a good teacher (found in best music stores – go to the store that sells a full range of band / orchestra / world instruments, and guitars and amplifiers). If you are doing any small error is being reduced, the teacher correct them. What is your practice routine like? Can you put things so that your guitar is out of a guitar stand and not in the case? When you practice, you warm up or just go and start to strum the songs? Here's my thinking: several shorter delivery practices to develop more than one long one (except, at some point you need strength, and only one long session that will give you.) So maybe make a practice 20 minutes with brief warm up and then work on playing some real changes, then break – and make another session 20 minutes later, and perhaps 30 minutes-after that. Playing chords is fine, but for real progress you'll want to stop. Get a copy of diatonic major and minor scales guitar AndrĂ©s Segovia and decipher – all big game crusher according to the scales of Segovia – Alternate your routine often. By example, do not play the song as written – changing rhythms. Play 3. Play all the way through with the first note or chord length, the second highest short that you can do in the long third, fourth, short, etc. Then go back and play short-long-short-long. Go to a store that sells fantasy dice and buy a 12-Sider and a-ra 6. Discard both. The six-ra is the string of a guitar (1 E = low, 2 = A, etc) and 12-Sider is the fret. Name of this note. This is the fastest way to learn all the notes on the fingerboard in the first octave.
