I want to learn electric bass guitar but I really do not know anything. Any and all advice appreciated?
I would love to learn guitar low and I have a million questions: * How hard it is to learn? Is there a place online / books that you can buy / set dvd or anything help me? * What kind of bass should I get? I play rock music. You could buy a very good for beginners under $ 400. Maybe you should not start with a beginner dollar high. The jazz bass you mean is probably a Fender Jazz. It is a very good under mostly used by more experienced bassists. And they are heavy. Should be given around and find a guitar that gives the feeling right. Some bass guitars have smaller bodies and are lighter than others. There are 5-strings and guitar strings and 4 – are a matter of preference and also a question of how low you go. I have a chain of five-Jay Tursor has a body similar to a guitar with 6 strings. I love it. However, I would be just as happy with a 4-string. Tursor is my first 5-string and I've had over eight years. I'm especially a player of R & B and reggae to concerts. 5-string works fine but during the Reggae R & B I do not use the 5th string. If you plan on playing a string of 5-then that's what you should start. Under Power is easy to learn and play. First you must know where the notes. learn the notes open. 4-GADS chain, the chain really fat is considered the bottom line. Next learn their three chord progressions. GCD. ADE. FB flat-C. etc. The chord progression is 3 building blocks for almost any song that care to play. After learning his progressions then it's time to venture out to other notes within that scale. For example, the low R & B based on walking bass. R & R is based on the low R & B. C & W is even easier, but some of the structure is very similar under the R & B bass. Everyone related. Some serious Reggae and Jazz bass is becoming a bit more complex. Your best bet is to find a tutor instead of DVD's or books. Although guitar players get all the attention. Do not sound like a wooden nickel worth without its foundation to fill all the dirt and screaming unnecessary in most cases. Sure, you get a good lead the crowd All Wound Up, but the bass is something they can hear and feel. There's nothing like a set of constraints musicians who know how to reach to that channel and do some fine ear candy. Just go for it.
